The 2021 grape harvest in our mountain fruit vineyard in Napa Valley outstanding. The rugged terrain and high elevation of this appellation, with its distinctive volcanic soils, created an ideal terroir for producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The warm days and cool nights of the 2021 growing season resulted in a crop of grapes that displayed excellent balance and flavor intensity. The 2021 vintage is expected to be remembered for its exceptional quality, marked by deep, rich flavors and the characteristic elegance that defines this unique corner of the Napa Valley.

"This is a vivacious red that showcases its sweet fruit notes enveloped with a wonderful, deep garnet color. The fruit in the nose approaches with incredibly dense black fruit, dried currants, clove, and spice rack, chased by sweet notes of tight grain French Oak deeper in the glass. It is electrifying to follow the change of aromas with more time being opened. The ’21 vintage is a showstopper! The palate has a flashy core of ripe red fruit. Supporting flavors of crushed herbs and light minerality are embraced together with coating tannin and a direct mouthfeel that certainly wouldn’t shy from a thick, smoky porterhouse or duck confit. This wine will continue to improve for 3 to 6 years and drink well for another half decade beyond." ~ Kirk Venge

94 Points - International Wine Report: "The 2021 'Privity' Cabernet Sauvignon opens to bold aromas of boysenberries, dark cherries, and blueberries, which are accompanied by spices, cedar, crushed violets, licorice and fresh sage nuances. On the palate this is full-bodied and structured with big polished tannins and a deep opulent texture. Showing remarkable depth and concentration, this continues to impress as intense layers of ripe dark cherries, iron and spice flavors all build up to the long, supple finish. While this is already extremely appealing, it also has what it takes to age remarkably well."
